All affected customers either have been, or are in the process of being identified and contacted by EV-Charge America. All purchasers of the qualified products that have not yet been contacted by EV-Charge America LTD, are directed to immediately stop using their EV2000 series units, disconnect them from their power supply and contact EV-Charge America LTD via the below recall email hotline for return and exchange instructions.
Clarifying note: This recall is due to the possibility of a purchased, internal electrical component, or components, potentially leaking small amounts of electricity to the J1772 vehicle connector while the charging station is in the off condition. This safety recall notice is preemptive and precautionary only, as to our knowledge, there have been no reports of instances of safety problems of leakage in the customer community.
